I moved in with my boyfriend and built the walk-in closet slash computer room of my DREAMZ! I need to take pictures but when we moved I misplaced all my camera batteries and film... sigh. living in the past probs. I mean I have a smartphone but to me it would be sacreligious to use that for my sooooo totally retro blog... xD
oh, and something fun is that my laptop is from japan and the keyboard is like an american qwerty keyboard but... slightly different in a kind of inscrutable way...
well, one of my laptops... but the other is even more quirky. it's a mac powerbook 1400 in PERFECT!!! condition... but i don't have a disk drive for it... yet! I ordered one on ebay that I'm really hoping works. if you've read my manifesto (lol) you'll maybe recognize the name powerbook bc I reference a really special edition of it there. you could say this is kind of a dream machine to me! it has a utilitarian aesthetic that defined many early laptops- all dark grey, with the amazing rainbow mac logo. looks amazing running os 9! I got it an estate sale for $10 from a group called it's the girls. All very nice older women who were so excited to cut me a deal.
The coolest part of the powerbook, to me, is the modular design. You can swap out parts with a very satisfying combo of lever and clicking into place. Mine has a rechargeable battery and a floppy disk drive. I don't even have any floppy disks!

oopsie daisies it's been three years :O well at least I have some really cool updates to give. namely, that my fixation with the 2000s manifested a more physical form and i have been steadily collecting GADGETS! an incomplete list:
2007 pink sony vaio, pink ipod shuffle, pink modded nintendo 3ds, pink ipod nano, crt tv, pink dvd player, pink ihome... if you're noticing a theme it's that everything is pink, lol. I want to take pictures of my collection and upload them here!

i'm still really figuring all of this out! using websites like twitter and tiktok was making my feel like i was actually losing my mind so i decided i wanted to, first for the first time, try to make my own website :O i can't believe i've never done this before! lol i even wrote my thesis in college on the y2k web. such an academic poser
anyways. i'm having such a fun time so far. recently irl i got to go to a MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE CONCERTTTT so i'm living my scene queen fantasy. my bestie got us tickets and we went to the nashville show in the nosebleeds and screamed. we got to see cheerleader gerard!!! i'm the one in the junji ito shirt lol
